Home Buyer Info

Despite being a “seller’s market”, a high percentage of offers written by me are accepted. The best part of my job, is when at the end of the day I can tell someone that my skills saved a client a great deal of money.

COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING OF THE HOME BUYING PROCESS

I generally start the home-buying process by having a conversation with you to find out if we’re a good fit for one another. I like to assess what geographic areas interest you, characteristics of a house that are essential to you, and other features you would ideally like to have. Details to consider include neighborhood, number of bedrooms and bath, price range, age of home, and any amenities you really want (fireplace, fenced yard, newer furnace, stainless steel appliances, etc.). At that point, I’ll mention a few houses that come to mind and use them as examples to clarify your search.

ESTABLISHING AND UNDERSTANDING YOUR BUYING CRITERIA

After clarifying the initial information of what you want in a home, I’ll send you a list of homes for you to consider. After listening to your feedback and preferences, we’ll start looking at houses together. Afterward, I’ll do some follow-up on houses you like to help hone our future searches. I’ll continue to send you regular updates on properties that appear to be of interest to you; will stay in close contact by phone, and be ready and available whenever you wish to view a home.

A SKILLFUL NEGOTIATOR

When you’re ready to see a home, I’ll do everything in my power to accommodate your schedule. Additionally, I draw upon many years of professional experience as both a community organizer and political strategist, which makes me very good at negotiating, ultimately helping you get the house you want at the lowest possible price.

EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE WITH HOME RENOVATION AND REPAIR

I have extensive renovation/repair knowledge experience. I have remodeled, repaired, and expanded several homes, and am intimately familiar with the hidden gems and warning signs specific to Seattle-area homes. I will strive to help you understand the complete condition of any Seattle home. While I’m not a certified expert, I can provide a wealth of real, practical information regarding the condition of the electrical, plumbing, furnace, roof, and more to help you be fully informed as you evaluate a home. Furthermore, I will be honest with you if I can’t provide an accurate analysis, and I will provide appropriate resources and references to inspection professionals.

EXCELLENT LENDER REFERRALS

If you don’t have a lender ready to help you buy a home in Seattle, I can refer you to lenders that you can trust that will help determine your exact price range. Together, we will be certain you won’t strain your budget.  We all want you to be comfortable with your purchase now and in several years.
